Neste MY Renewable Diesel is a hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) for diesel engines. Made from 100% renewable raw materials, it can reduce GHG emissions by up to 75% or up to 95%* when emissions over the fuel's life cycle are compared with fossil diesel.

Neste MY Renewable Diesel is not biodiesel. Neste’s renewable diesel is a pure hydrocarbon fuel with a similar chemical composition to fossil diesel, and the fuel’s chemical composition corresponds to the highest quality fossil diesel fuels. This means you can fill any diesel engine with Neste MY Renewable Diesel without any modifications, neat (HVO100) or blended at any ratio – and start cutting GHG emissions immediately.

Neste MY Renewable Diesel is produced from 100% renewable raw materials and all suppliers must meet strict sustainability criteria. The refining processing of these fuels differs. Neste MY is an HVO- type of a fuel - during the refining process renewable raw materials are purified and hydrotreated at a high temperature and under hig pressure.

Conventional biodiesel is a fatty acid methyl ester (FAME). Its quality is lower and less constant. Biodiesel also differs in composition from both fossil and renewable diesel. Thanks to its chemical composition, Neste MY Renewable Diesel requires no additional investment in the vehicle fleet or changes to vehicle engines.

Neste MY Renewable Diesel meets both the ASTM D975 2-D standard in the US, and the European EN15940 standard.
