Neste Singapore Refinery
Neste’s refinery in Singapore started in 2010 as the world’s largest renewable diesel refinery. Located in Tuas, south-west of the country, it was Neste’s first significant investment in Asia. The refinery was established to produce renewable diesel from raw materials such as waste and residues using Neste's proprietary NEXBTL™ technology and advanced pre-treatment capability.
Today, the Singapore refinery has a total renewable products production capacity of 2.6 million tons annually, producing renewable diesel, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable raw materials for polymers and chemicals. Of which, up to 1 million tons is the production capability of SAF.

Expansion of the Singapore refinery
Over the years, Neste continued to innovate and invest in the growth of the Singapore refinery.
The production capacity of the original refinery was gradually increased with the expansion in April 2023.
The expanded Singapore refinery of €1.6 billion investment secured its status as the world’s biggest renewable diesel refinery, as well as the world’s largest producer of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), in terms of capacity. A hydrogen production unit together with additional pre-treatment capabilities were also built to process more challenging wastes and residue raw materials.
The integrated refinery occupies 45 hectares of land, and is well-positioned to be closer to key markets with Singapore’s world-class logistics connectivity, enabling a seamless transportation of raw materials and renewable products into Asia and the world.
